DITP Seminar Supports Thai Exports to Britain

The DITP held a seminar entitled ‘How to Develop Thai Products to Meet the Need in the UK Market’ on January 24 in Bangkok.

At the seminar, experts from both public and private sectors shared their knowledge on the trade outlook between Thailand and the UK, retail business and consumer behaviour in the UK, and the required standard for products distributed in Tesco Lotus stores.

“We expect this event will help Thai SMEs improve their business and better compete on the global market,” DITP Director-General Chantira Jimreivat Vivatrat said.

Thailand’s exports to the UK amounted to US$4.08 billion in 2017, a 6% growth on the previous year. The key products were automobiles and parts, processed chicken, motorcycles and parts, and gems and jewelry.
