Ongoing growth of the real estate sector in Cambodia offers promising opportunities for foreign investors including Thais, according to a report by the DITP’s overseas office in Phnom Penh.
“Real estate in Cambodia has been growing continually with at least 17 condominiums or about 13,000 units expected to complete construction this year,” DITP Director-General, Chantira Jimreivat Vivatrat, said on August 10. “Developers in Cambodia expect the market to grow in line with the country’s economy, and foreign investors are drawn to Cambodia to invest in the transportation infrastructure and housing construction.”
She added that Thai enterprises in construction, construction materials, furniture and decoration items should look for business opportunities in Cambodia. They are advised to study the law and regulations thoroughly, and seek out potential business partners.
